Graduate Program in Production Engineering

Research Areas

The Program is organized into three well-established research areas, reflecting over 31 years of continuous advancement and accumulated expertise:

Modeling, Optimization, and Control
This research area focuses on the study and application of modeling and optimization methods, alongside mathematical and statistical techniques tailored for process monitoring. Key activities include signal acquisition, analysis, and processing across products, processes, and services.

Quality and Products
Dedicated to quality management and continuous improvement, this area works on developing, refining, and implementing models and standardized management systems. The research extends to project management, product development, and innovation, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative approaches.

Production and Logistics Systems
This area concentrates on leveraging computational tools, modeling and simulation techniques, and decision support systems. The aim is to achieve excellence in production systems, operations, supply chain management, and logistics—while also addressing sustainability concerns.
